Building a BESS project is multi-faceted. Before construction begins, ensuring the land can handle the foundations, has sufficient drainage and proper access and egress for construction is critical. Additionally, and most importantly, it must be close to existing infrastructure for grid access. All this requires stakeholder engagement for project buy-in and an understanding of the regulatory process to always be in compliance with the law. This is where WHC can help; we can oversee feasibility studies, early contractor engagement and we understand regulator considerations.

Very simplified, once the location is approved for BESS construction, specialized modules are delivered for assembly.  Not all BESS projects are alike, with desired voltage and capacity varying per project. Understanding which module to purchase is often a consultation between us as the contractor and the client that owns the project.
